Seeing Red

Kwagga Smith wasn’t the only one to see red in yesterday’s final – coach Johan Ackermann was livid at the card that was shown to his open side.

It was laughable that he thought it wasn’t deserved of course – it was red all day long.

“I don’t think 62,000 people paid to see a 15 versus 14 game”

He even suggested that the player could have stayed on and been disciplined after the game ffs!

Ackermann actually stated that it proved that Jaco Peyper was not biased – truth is he had absolutely no option – any other decision was unthinkable.

Ackermann is coaching Gloucester next season – I don’t think he’s going to be all that chuffed when his team is being reffed by the likes of top guys like Nigel Owens and Wayne Barnes.
