The final pool rounds of the U20 World Championship take place tomorrow.
Thursday, June 8
Round three, fixtures:
Wales U20 v Samoa U20
Scotland U20 v Italy U20
Argentina U20 v South Africa U20
Ireland U20 v New Zealand U20
France U20 v Georgia U20
England U20 v Australia U20
In Pool A both England and Australia will be playing for a guaranteed play-off place – only one point separates them currently. Wales and Samoa are playing for pride only.
NZ will top Pool B – and Scotland have a chance to also qualify if they get a bonus point win against Italy – but other results will have to go their way too.
Pool C is wide open with SA, Argentina and France all having a chance to qualify – perhaps even 2 of them could get through to the semi-finals
I think the last four will be NZ, SA, England and France – assuming I’m right, a nice North v South balance.
