Break Time

Super Rugby pretty much takes a break after the games this weekend to make way for the Lions and other international tours in the increasingly crowded rugby calendar.

The schedule starts again in full at the end of the month and beginning of July.

So these are my last Super Rugby predictions (with limited exceptions) for a bit –

The Blues will paste the Reds in their last game before they face the Lions in mid-week

Crusaders v Highlanders is a tough one and the home side have made 10 changes to their team. I’m going with the home side as they strive to go unbeaten

Chiefs should kill off any slim hope the Waratahs have of making the play-offs

The Brumbies will beat Aussie rivals the Rebels

The Force will be subjected to the real force of the Hurricanes when they sweep into town

You may have noticed that I haven’t predicted any scores – it seems a bit pointless as I am always so far off the mark.

Next week there is just one game – Hurricanes v Chiefs and I’ll give my prediction nearer the time – not least as it will give me something to write about!
