I told you that UKIP were complete rubbish didn’t I?
Well as of 10 minutes ago a Rubbish’ party had actually won more seats than UKIP!
A candidate from the Rubbish Party has just been elected.
Congratulations to Sally Cogley who stood on the single issue of ensuring that rubbish bins are collected properly, a cause surely close to all our hearts.
She got 784 votes, enough to give her one of three council seats in the Irvine Valley ward of East Ayrshire in Scotland.
t’s one more seat than Ukip has managed across the whole of the country at the time of going to press (11.30am).
Now that’s what I call a result!
