So far in Super Rugby this season the record between Australian and New Zealand franchises is 0-15 (to NZ, obviously)
Already some of the NZ media are speculating on a 0-25 season.
The Waratahs have a chance to put a small dent in the running total this weekend when they host the Blues in Sydney.
The Tahs have won the 7 previous corresponding home fixtures but I sense that the Blues will come out on top this year – by around 10.
Elsewhere my picks this week are as follows –
The Hurricanes to overpower the Stormers by 20
Cheetahs will go down at home to the Highlanders – also by around 20
The Rebels may be back home but will find the Lions too much to handle and will lose by something like 15
The Chiefs weren’t at their best last week but still won – they’ll be back on form and put the Reds away by 13
The Sharks will account for the Force by 10 or more
The Bulls might hope to stop the Crusaders unbeaten run especially in the absence of Read and Whitelock. Matt Todd will take the captain’s armband and lead them to yet another win – by more than 15
The Sunwolves surprised everyone (especially me) last week by getting close to the Chiefs. But the jaguars will be safe at home and be ahead by 14 at the final whistle.
Some exciting games on TV to look forward to – especially the one in Sydney
