I’ve done pretty well on my Super Rugby predictions so far in 2017 with a cumulative total of 92%.
For the last two weeks I haven’t got a game wrong – not exactly quelle surprise!
This is unlikely to last not least because I think that a number of the games this week will be very close –
Hurricanes v Waratahs isn’t one of them – Canes by 20+
Sunwolves to lose at home to the Bulls – by about 13
The all NZ clash sees the Highlanders v Blues. Despite having SBW on the bench alongside Warren’s son Bryn the Blues will go down, but be less than 10
Two of the potentially vulnerable Aussie sides staring at the chop, face each other. The Brumbies will win because of home advantage but not by many
The Jaguares are doing well but will lose (just) on the road to play the Sharks
Stormers to go down by a few to the Chiefs
The Force will get some respite by knocking over the Kings
With the exception of the Hurricanes and the Bulls I think every other game will see a difference of less than 10 points between the teams at the death.
So I could get more than a few wrong – having said that it will be another good weekend on the sofa and the Sky record button
