Hi Dave. Bentley was capped in 1988, against Ireland & on the Summer tour to Australia, before going to League. He earned 2 more caps for England after the Lions tour, against Australia & South Africa (both in 1997).
However my cock up was rather larger when I included both Tommy Taylor and Matt Scott as possible non-caps for Warren Gatland’s squad. On Twitter Pete was quick to indicate that Tommy has one England cap, but more worryingly I had missed the fact that Matt is the proud owner of 37 Scotland caps!
I am tempted to suggest that this was deliberate in order to see if anyone actually bothered to read this rubbish. The ultimate effect would then seem to have been Machiavellian on my part – which is not true obviously – it’s actually a bit more macadamia
If anybody is out there please feel free to point out some of the many errors – it’s no fun being alone you know!
