Have Mercer upon Them

The U20 and women’s 6 Nations tournaments are mirror images of the men’s 6 Nations – with all three England teams facing Italy this weekend.

Last night at the Northern Echo Arena the U 20s picked up their third bonus point victory with a 46 -0 win.

The captain is Zach Mercer, the Bath back row player – and a right handful as the highlights from the game show –

England top the table and have now scored 21 tries from their opening three games and next face Scotland at Franklin’s Gardens, Northampton.

“To be captain is a massive honour as is to lead the players out. Scotland will be tough, they are our next game and we are really looking forward to it. We have a week off and then we’re back for it.”

England have 15 points with Ireland second on 12 – last night the Irish beat France by 27-22.

Wales defeated Scotland 65-34.

It looks very much like the Ireland v England game on 17th March will decide the championship.

England Women take on Italy at 1pm today and the game is on Sky Sports – well worth a watch!
