Brighton Knocks

After Eddie’s last ‘Jolly Boys’ outing to the seaside several members have still not recovered from the knockabout!

Mr Jones has sprung a couple of surprises with his latest 33 man squad for the Brighton camp – Manu and James Haskell are back and Jack Clifford and Alex Goode are being left behind.

Jack Nowell is also in the squad and after his ‘man of the match’ performance against Bath yesterday it’s easy to see why! He was outstanding both defensively and with ball in hand. If he was a little less hirsute he might even be faster.

In the same game Semesa Rokoduguni also showed his finishing power – but was less convincing in defence – maybe that’s why he didn’t make Eddie’s cut.

Dave Attwood had a strong game – as did Jonathan Joseph – Eddie Jones and Steve Borthwick in the crowd will have taken note.

Let’s hope that this time the Brighton knocks aren’t quite so hard – it’s not long to England’s first 6 Nations match against France!
