A Christmas Annual

It will be a slightly odd 24th for us this year. Every Christmas Eve for more than 30 years we have spent the night before Santa comes watching ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.

However, yesterday Lell got us tickets to see it on the big screen at the Cathedral in Birmingham. It was excellent, although I pretty much know the story by now.

Lell & Terry warned me before we went in that I shouldn’t mention out loud the importance of  Zuzu’s petals or what a bastard Tom is!

We had a really good time and a great shared experience- & the whole audience applauded at the end when James Stewart says “Attaboy Clarence”

The only now problem is what to watch tonight! My selection is one (or more) of ‘Les Miserables’ (film musical and/or 25th Anniversary special), ‘Beaches’ or ‘Princess Bride’.

It’s virtually Christmas Day already in Australia & Rich, Silvi, Annalia & Rafa (Mad Max) will be enjoying a wild Latino celebration that culminates in a tsunami of present opening as soon as the clock strikes midnight.

Wish we were there!
