In the last Premiership round before the next pool stages of the European competitions the top five clubs are starting to put a gap between themselves and the other sides.
My predictions score this week was a respectable (which I rarely am) 5 out of 6.
The one I picked wrongly was Bath v Saracens which I had down as an away win – albeit saying at the time that it was a bit dodgy (check Friday’s post if you doubt my honesty).
Saracens went own but will be delighted to have Maro back!
Bath won 14-11 to move briefly into second place – at least for Saturday night.
Wasps overtook them on Sunday.
The win by Dai Young’s depleted side was probably the result of the round – Wasps had 17 front line players either injured or suspended and still came away from Worcester with 4 points.
They are now just one point behind Saracens.
We now have two European rounds before Premiership’s round 11 over the Christmas weekend.
Quins play Gloucester on Boxing Day – so no Christmas Pud for them!
After 10 rounds I am on a 75% cumulative score – not as good a year as Eddie’s – but not too bad!
