There are two forced changes that Eddie Jones needs to make for the side to play Australia on Saturday.
Neither Billy Vunipola nor Elliot Daly are available.
That doesn’t mean that Eddie won’t make other changes, but I doubt he will – not to the starting XV anyway.
He has kept 25 players back before naming the match day 23 –
England 25-man squad:
Forwards: Dave Attwood (Bath Rugby), Dan Cole (Leicester Tigers), Charlie Ewels (Bath Rugby), Jamie George (Saracens), Teimana Harrison (Northampton Saints), Dylan Hartley (Northampton Saints), Nathan Hughes (Wasps), George Kruis (Saracens), Courtney Lawes (Northampton Saints), Joe Marler (Harlequins), Chris Robshaw (Harlequins), Kyle Sinckler (Harlequins), Mako Vunipola (Saracens), Tom Wood (Northampton Saints).
Backs: Mike Brown (Harlequins), Danny Care (Harlequins), Owen Farrell (Saracens), George Ford (Bath Rugby), Jonathan Joseph (Bath Rugby), Jonny May (Gloucester Rugby), Semesa Rokoduguni (Bath Rugby), Henry Slade (Exeter Chiefs), Ben Te’o (Worcester Warriors), Marland Yarde (Harlequins), Ben Youngs (Leicester Tigers).
Nathan Hughes has been passed fit and will almost certainly be at 8. He doesn’t have Billy’s experience yet, but he is a right handful.
The wing seems to be more up in the air – press rumours are that Marlon will get the nod, I personally would have given Roko another shot.
Whichever wing misses out will not make the 23 – I think either Dave Attwood or Charlie Ewels will also miss the bench.
An even bigger test of squad depth awaits on Saturday
