I can’t understand why everyone is worried about Donald Trump becoming president.
Despite some concerns from Democrats you only have to look at all the terrific support he’s been getting –
However, President elect Trump has disavowed the ‘alt-right’ groups in a strongly worded statement –
In a far-ranging interview with the New York Times, the US president-elect was quoted as saying: “I condemn them. I disavow, and I condemn.” He said he did not want to “energise” the group, which includes neo-Nazis, white supremacists and anti-Semites.
Oddly he didn’t do this before November 8th when they were strongly supporting his candidacy –
Earlier this year, in an interview with Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, CNN host Jake Tapper asked the candidate whether he would disavow an endorsement from long time Ku Klux Klan leader and white nationalist celebrity David Duke. Trump declined. “I don’t know anything about David Duke,” he said. Moments later, he added, “I know nothing about white supremacists.”
So, that’s alright then.
Surely, with all this wildly enthusiastic support, things will only get better – I mean what could possibly go wrong? It’s Thanksgiving tomorrow in America – be interesting to hear what they say at the dinner table before the meal!
